Hello everyone, I hope all is well with you. I am asking if any of you know of an RV park in the Detroit area that is on the Detroit River waterfront that you can see the ships going by from your site. A few years ago it was mentioned by someone (either here or another site) and it looked like a great park. We will be traveling up that way in June and if they are not booked up, we would like to stay there. I google mapped the area and looked on some travel sites but can't seem to find it. I appreciate any info that any of you can give me on the area. Thank you for your help, Boomer.

Thank you Conner, we are already booked there. The one I'm talking about is either in Detroit or right near it. I have seen a website for it but did not bookmark it and now a couple of years later, I can't find it.

That's the one I was going to mention. My in-laws used to go there often. Gary's Mom even kept a log of all the ships they saw passing by over all the years they went there.
As far as I know the only state park in Detroit on the river is Bell Isle and there is no camping there, but has a nice Aquarium and Botanical Garden
