So I see that my new camper has Dexter towing assist, I do know where to look for the communication device it talks about, also just a question about the Dexter App it says to download. Any help
Would be Greatly appreciated.

On my solitude, In front compartment, there is a small(3x3) Connector with a fob plugged into it. It has a blue light on it. I originally had some wiring issues that caused light(and bluetooth/App) not to work. Once fixed I just scanned for it in App and it connected. Not sure if App is overly useful unless things go awry. The "idiot" light on trailer gives a lot of possible info. Not sure if you have a more specific question.

Tom thank you for the response , I know there is a some type of indicator on the driver side front part of the camper. I think I understand what you talked about. So should my phone pick up the signal when the camper is plugged into the truck?

I'm not sure what kicks on Bluetooth. It might be on continuously. I know Tow Assist has to be "Woken Up" with brake pedal or Brake controller actuation.
My app looks for VEEPAK" as a device(thing with blue light) and connects fairly quickly

Is it always active or does one need to setup the app. My Solitude has it, but I’ve never done anything with it in the year I’ve owned it.

When you plug it in to the 7 pin it activates. That green light on the driver's side tells you it is on and working. I don't have the app, but the system still works. That green light stays on for 20 minutes after you unhook. I had to Google that as I was sure it was going to run down my battery bank after I stored the rig last.

I think if no issues, the app is only good for mileage on trailer. I don't use it either(the app)

Thanks. Truck records trailer mileage so I’ll press on as is.

Isn't this part of what they initially called the Lippert Anti-Lock (ABS) Drum Braking system, or is it something totally different?
