Dinette Table Replacement

Think about removing the dinette table with the pedestal and putting a drop leaf table in it place. I think the Solitude has them. Could I order that from Grand Design. Not sure if there would be studs in the wall there to support it. What are your thoughts on this. Posted in wrong section. Sorry maybe some will see it.

I think I posted in wrong section . I have a GD Reflection 337 RLS 5 ft wheel. May be the Administrator could move it in the right place.

I have no idea but just looking at videos of your trailer it appears the window starts very low
Wouldn’t that be an issue?

You know thinking about it you are right. No way I could make that work. Thanks for the help on this. I just trying to make it easier to get in and out of the chairs. Found some benches that I may try see if that will work for us.

I am quite sure something could be custom made though just doubtful GD would have anything
Likely cheaper to get a custom job anyway
I am sure there is lots of structure there to tie to

I have a Contractor that does excellent custom work. He may be able to come up with something.

Definitely. Could even make an attachment from the floor next to the wall to come up and out for a table top
Would be maybe easier to secure than using the wall
Of course that may interfere with the slide going in. Not sure

Thanks for the link some good ideas there.I ended up going with bench seats to replace the chairs. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71oOQcGnnNL._AC_SX679_.jpg. So much better than the chairs and the seats have a shoe rack and storage under the cushion. The bench seats made it a lot easier for us to seat at the table. Was always fighting the chairs trying to avoid hitting the pedestal.

Several of the posts in the thread posted above by [MENTION=7057]theclarks[/MENTION] show people replacing the dinette chairs with storage ottomans. That's what we have done in our Solitude - and wish we had done it in our Reflection. Makes getting in and out much easier and adds storage space for lighter items. We ordered ours from Target to fit the measurements we wanted.

That's a nice looking bench! Can you tell me the measurements of it? Do you have a link to it ...the link you provided only shows a picture of it, no info to purchase it.

Sorry not real good and copying a link.

They are nice benches for being press board ( most bolt together furniture is ) but bolt together good and solid. Heavier than the chairs but I don't think that will be a problem.

Next question... where did you get the fitted plastic table cover? We have a piece of clear vinyl plastic on ours but it never stays put.
