Do the national parks support work camping?

Just crossed my mind tonight but I recall a ranger at Glacier who had been working seasonal for years. Do any of the National Parks support work camping? Any advice/suggestions welcome.

John, go to the website Volunteer.Gov, this is where the NPS posts their job openings. My wife and I volunteered in Montana for 5 months in 2023 for the NPS. I'm making the assumption you are looking to volunteer versus being paid for your services. Good luck with your search.

A couple we know used to work at Yellowstone each summer after they retired. They made minimum wage and a rv spot. she worked in one of the gift shops and he did light maintenance and I believe was only about 20 hours each week. They both had good pensions so the wage wasn't a big deal to them.

@poohbear That would be a nice experience. Similar to those I met working at the welcome center at Glacier which is what started to peek my interest.

My husband and I worked at Yellowstone Natl. Park when we first retired. Two companies hired temp employees-Delaware North Corp. and Xanterra. We applied on line. Don’t know if they still do any hiring but we loved every minute living in the park.

My wife and I "workamped" at Grant Village General Store this summer. Delaware North is the concessionaire for all the general stores. Xanterra operates the lodges, restaurants and campgrounds throughout the park. We were paid $17/hr and our FHU employee campsite was $75/week. We enjoyed employee discounts in the store as well as in the Yellowstone Forever stores. Day trips, hikes and other activities were available to all park employees.
