We bought our Momentum 385TH at Lazy Days in Florida and they were going to switch the couch to the heated and massage couch. They were authorized by GD to do so. The new furniture came in and we were scheduled to bring it in to make the change today. We got a call yesterday saying they realized they needed to add electric and no service techs were available to work on that.

They told me that I could leave it and would deliver to me 4 hrs. away in 2 or 3 weeks but they take no responsibility for what may happen to the coach while in their possession.

Does this sound right?

That doesn't sound right. As they're private property and usually locked compounds, why would they not be liable for any damage other than wind, hail, etc. or are they referring to liability when they're transporting the coach back to you?

They told me any damage that happened to the coach would be my responsibility and my insurance would have to cover it.

Just looking for some input.

That's Lazy Days for you. Horrid dealership. At least here in Tucson. If they take it into their possession, they should be responsible for it.

Thats Lazy Days for you here in FL too. If they take it in their possession, you'll be lucky to get it in 3-4 weeks. If they had it scheduled in to replace couch already, why should it take 3-4 weeks anyway? Running electric ain't that hard. Is there not electric in the slide already? Our Reflection has it and they don't even have the option for heated/massage seats. Just curious, trying to help.
Maybe check with Tradewinds in Ocala. I know they're busy now with "snowbirds" so they might not even be able to schedule it in for a while, but it would be done when promised.

Lazy Days Florida has 220 service bays . . . and they couldn't find a tech to hook up the wires ???
Hmmmmm . . .

The bar doesn't appear to be set very high, at least with respect to dealerships! My local dealer had my Solitude for almost eight weeks to work on a punch list of a dozen warranty items. I've been saddened to learn how poor service prevails.
