Dometic Refrigerator not working on Gas

Hi all, I have a 2021 2250RK with an 8 cu. ft. Dometic refrigerator and when I started it up for a trip this week it will not work on gas. The pilot lights and flames are present at the gap between the gas valve and the line going to the refrigerator but it does not start up. I did some in depth troubleshooting and found the thermal coupling reset button was out. I pressed it in and the pilot will not light. I have gone through a long checklist and everything looks good. Any suggestions on what this could be or what to check?

Thx in advance for any suggestions!

Well, your refrigerator doesn’t have a pilot, so if there are flames it is the burner.

What exactly do you mean when you say “it does not start up”? Absorption refrigerators don’t have moving parts, so the flame burning is the only thing that can be detected to indicate the refrigerator is on in gas mode.

I'm in the same boat as John. What do you mean by won't start up. If you have flame...it's started. If you played with the thermal reset and now nothing works, as in it will not light now, you probably have the thermal contacts open, press it again and verify continuity with a meter.

Thx jkwilson for the post. I apologize but I was not receiving notices on these posts until today. I learned a lot troubleshooting this issue. What I thought was a pilot was a flame in the air gap between the gas line and what I would call a venture tube. As it turns out that tube where the flame was clogged by dirt dobbers.

Once I cleared it the issue was resolved. Thx again for responding.

Thx for the reply. It was a blockage in the main gas tube where the flame should be appearing. Dirt dobbers.

Does it cool on 120 volt? Are there any lights on the control panel? Battery good (and charged?)
Thx for replying. It turned out to be a blockage in the tube where the flame should be seen. I found a YouTuber that went through the troubleshooting steps in detail. It was very helpful. I will post as soon as I get access to my laptop. Using phone now.
