DVD Player

Why doesn't my DVD player play all of my movies, we watch a lot of movies none of which are blu-ray some work fine and others don't, some of which are brand new, all of them work in our home and in the DVD we installed in the bedroom of our 369RL

John, I've noticed the same with our ESTONE player in our 369. It seems it only happens with recently released movies. Our Sony player at home has to be upgraded ever so often by going to the Sony website and downloading their updates to a flash drive and then downloading to the player. I haven't tried this yet with our ESTONE, but this could be the fix. I'll give it a try later today and let you know if that's the fix.

John, I gave it a shot, but can not find anywhere on the Estone website to do an update like the Sony.

After you have tried cleaning the bottom with a soft cloth and this may be way out there....but make sure if you can set the region on your DVD player it is set to the US (usually 1). Then make sure the DVD is also from the same region.

Probably not the issue, but I thought I would throw it out there. Otherwise I'm scratching my head.
