I installed a light strip that increases visibility for running lights, brake lights, and blinkers. Just stick on and plug it into the trailer wiring. You can see a video on the amazon page IMG_8439.jpeg

It might not be an issue, but you might check with local DMV for the legality of adding more lights. Some places are sticklers about stuff like that.

There’s no law against it where I am. I highly doubt any cop is going to pull you over for it anyway.

No regulations against it, no problem. But betting the cops won't pull you over for something is betting against the house. Just takes one LEO having a bad day...

I like it! The LED and length 5ft of the strip running across the back of the RV, and $36.
I bought one of those small square LED combo lights that fit into the rear hitch receiver and plugs into the rear light connector, but I like this LED strip idea much better, much more visibility and the addition of a back up light, that is if the RV manufacturer has a backup light wire running up to the 7 way plug.

Really no different than other owners adding vertical LED light strips to the back sides up high on their toy haulers. Or semi drivers adding lights all the way down the side of their trailers. Or pickup truck owners adding it under the tailgate of their truck, as some of the new trucks come from the factory that way.

LEOs rarely pick on RVers, unless they are doing something stupid, but If on that rare occasion of a Barney LEO stopping you, just unplug it to you get out their jurisdiction.
