Dining slide rod is scraping against the hole in the frame. It moves very slowly, must more slowly that the kitchen slide. Of course, I know it is longer. We don't have a lot stored in the slide area.

Check out the picture.

it has always been pretty slow but is getting worse. Is the motor loose? Bad installation?

I see that about 3/4 of the way in, it comes away from the edge of the hole, maybe I can dremel the hole bigger at that spot? I already put slide out lube on that rod, but as you can see it scraps pretty hard.

I'll have to look at ours tomorrow in the daylight, it seems there should have been a protective grommet on the cut hole. Not sure if cutting a little more would give it more play which may not be a good thing either ...but I am no RV tech and could be wrong

Not good. Could be motor loose. I wonder if that actuator rod is bent.

U might consider dropping the chloroplast and see if the motor mounts are loose.

Now that I look at the hole location it does look unusually high but you would need to compare it to another to know for sure.

A couple more questions - assuming the slide is on rollers, are the rollers intact? Is the slide level once deployed(vs being low on the outside edge?

I don't think this slide has rollers, it seems to skid on the outside plastic runners. The other slide has rollers so I am familiar with the concept.

Understood. That is a flush floor slide mechanism. I just wanted to rule out a broken/missing roller being the cause.

Are you able to verify the slide floor is level when fully extended/out?
