Hello,I have a 2600RB 2019,and I need the electrical diagram for the trailer, and I think I need to give the serial number of unit because the diagrams vary.Who do I contact? There was a half an hour wait time on phone so I thought I would try this.

Thank you.

And since this site is not monitored by Grand Design, probably not likely to get anything here.

Try their forums...

Isn’t this their forums? If not do you have a link to their forums.

Thanks

Jre257, Welcome to this community. This is a Grand Design owners forum with many knowledgeable people willing to share ideas, thoughts, learning experiences, etc. While we will not be able to help with a wiring diagram specific for your trailer (GD may not even have such a beast to provide), the community here may be able to provide some insight to assist whatever problem or project you are trying to accomplish.

I would suggest letting us know the year/model of your trailer and some background of what you are trying to do.

Ok,thank you for welcome. So I did find their site, but I will run this by you folks.Ok.....so on the frame....behind the battery holder....is what is called a 1900 metallic splice box that is used in electrical, low voltage installation.Anyway, this box is mounted to the inside of the frame on the left side of camper as you face the hitch.I have had this camper a few months,am going through it for a trip, and I am trying to square away some of the battery wire issues.So....I find this 1900 box.,it has no cover on it....has some wire nut splices....so I want to clean this up...and find out where these wires go to.That is why the schematic.And.....that is my question.I suspect this is not factory....as it is not water proof....and I suspect the person I bought it from back in January.....did a bozo no no.....

Thank you!

It sounds like the junction box from the trailer cable that connect to the tow vehicle to the brakes, lights etc on the trailer. A picture would help.

Not sealed seems standard on these, at least on my 3 TTs

I just received my25G. Wired the same as yours.
It's just a shame they let plumbers and carpenters wire these things up.
No self respecting electrician would sign his name to these installations.

Yea I guess that is what blows my mind.I am a low voltage technician through a local union...local 697...I take care of card access, fire alrm,Two way radio...and othe low voltage stuff. If I put a 1900 box out in the weather with no water proofing....man I would be shot..And as a supervisor of our service department...if one of the tech I work with did that....there would be a “conversation”.That is what blows my mind.I like the camper...and Grand design seems good...so I did not expect that...

The other thing a person could say is ,well they are water proof wire nuts...I don’t care...you put that too in a weather proof box....

The wiring does the same to me: "blows my mind"

My GFCI outlet:

I guess/hope it's done better now.

Nice that is cool,I guess I must have stumbled on to something,I posted the same in the Grand design forum and got a few responses agreeing with us,lol

Good luck getting any schematics from GD, they don't know how the trailer is wired any more than you do. Very rare they share any system scematics.
The Amish assembly workers run the electric wiring..kind of an oxymoron there

I always get a laugh knowing that the Amish are doing the electric work in these RV's.

I have definitely seen sketchy stuff over the years. The best was a thread not too long ago where a sub panel was hidden behind a finished wall.

Yea, I guess what bothers me is a gentleman recently replied to my post....I looked at his stats at bottom of message....and he had a 2021 2600rb with same issue. So my point is.....that Grand design is supposed to be one of the best according to my homework,of course there are others better....but one of the best.And.....the connect the trailer cable to truck in a non water proof box? I mean....these brand new are not like 5 k dollars. They are expensive and the electrical is a standard 1900 box? Come on...Amish or no Amish....it’s about quality...but like meh neighbor reminded me....well they build a solid frame but cut costin other areas....And being in electronics for 35 years...it does not take much thought to realize that corrosion loves electrical....

Amish have nothing to do with it. They are employees paid for piece work doing what their employer tells them to, human nature.

I think you guys missed the point about the Amish reference...depending on what type of Amish, they dont typically use electricity, although there are some exceptions.

Yep, didn’t even think of that.
