Extended Warranty

We are wondering if an extended warranty is a worthwhile purchase. We have owned our first 5th wheel a 369rl for 10 months and the dealer has a Cornerstone warranty for 4 years @ $1895 with a $200 deductable and fully prorated if you cancel or sell. We hear of costly repairs for slide outs, refrigerators ect.
We have not found much use in them on cars in the past probably less than 50% probably of using it. But wonder about an RV is higher risk over the next 4 years. We use it 2 to 3 months in a year.
Any experience for long term owners is appreciated.

I would recommend it. I also would suggest that you shop around. We paid $1500 for a 5 year with the same deductible through our dealer. It probably would have been best to negotiate it when you purchased the RV (that's what we did) but it is still a good idea to have it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, I always say.:)

PS
Look carefully at what is covered. Plans can differ greatly.

I would recommend it as repair cost can get expensive and disrupt and good vacation. Ours is for 7 years and a $100 deductable and covers $100 of on site tech service charges. We paid $2300 but we are full timers and feel it is well worth it. We used our last coverage to the fullest and got allot more out of it than what we paid for it. You need to shop around. If you would like the info on our company just let me know.

yes I would like your info. As you said it pays to shop around. I have requested a quote with Interstate, a referral from another solitude owner.
If its easier my email is [email protected] Thanks in advance.

Where can I start my search for a good and affordable extended warrity plan that would be worth considering. I'm have not seen a good review for Good Sam extended warranty.
