Exterior ladder mounting

Hey folks!

I'm curious if anyone has improved the ladder mounting on their rig. I have a Momentum 410TH, and the ladder has continually pulled off the side of the RV despite installing larger screws. I'm 200lbs, so I'm not a lightweight, but well within the "spec" of the ladder. It appears the ladder is simply attached to the thin exterior with no attachment to any studs. Has anyone had any issues/solutions for attaching their ladder?

I've since started using my Gorilla ladder to do roof things.

I damaged our side mounted ladder last month and just removed it. The #8 screws just attached to the fiberglass had me thinking " I'm not climbing on that " .
I have one of those folding ladders with the extendable legs I might carry or may get a " telescopeing type. Really, I don't need up there very often.

Yeah that's been my consensus as well - it seems kind of crazy that is the only thing holding them on.

Sounds like a line revision at play... I know for a fact that there's not only blocking behind our ladder attachments in the actual build, but it was also specified to be there in the fabrication drawings for our model. I don't trust the telescoping unless there's a top hook attachment. A former coworker of mine had one rated at 350# and he wasn't 175# soaking wet and wearing work boots! He was 10 foot up when the locks on it collapsed and he broke his back in the fall! I carry a Little Giant King Kombo and have no fears.
