I'm in the process of ordering a new Ford and would like to get a short bed this time around as truck will be my daily. I realize the short bed will have limitations. I don’t believe I ever had to go full 90 deg so might not be an issue.

Does anyone pull a momentum (believe they all have the same front cap) with a Ford short bed and B&W 3300 hitch? If so can you drive in a circle on flat ground with wheel locked without hitting the cab? Not sure what angle this creates with the 349m but I think this would be the tightest I would ever need to get.

Currently have the F-450 with B&W and do not want to get a new hitch/slider. Post some pics for extra thanks! :)

TIA!

FWIW, I've heard exactly what you said from a friend shortly before he broke the glass in his rear window in his Chevy. You may be able to do a circle on flat ground, but that just leaves you open to those times on uneven ground. Which is where it bit my friend in the butt.

I have a RAM 3500 with a short bed and use the Curt Crosswing. It give me 9" of additional clearance which is nearly what a slider gives. I have had some very tight spots to get into and out of and have had enough clearance so this is an alternative that works well for me and could for you. Plus it is less than 100lbs so takes away less of the precious payload you will have with a short box SRW. Bonus is Lippert owns Curt so will also not void you frame warranty.
