Persistence paid off and we finally found our "new to us" 2018 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS!
We started our search a few months ago and fairly quickly landed on Grand Design and then narrowed it down to Reflection and then specifically the 303RLS (the 29RS was a close second choice). We couldn't believe the asking prices on many of the used units we found, but still couldn't justify spending the money on a brand new rig. I spent lots of time scouring RV Trader and Facebook Marketplace and missed a couple of what looked like good deals along the way. We looked at several, but either condition or price prevented us from making a deal on anything. I finally found a 2020 at a "decent" price, only to have it sold the night before I could meet the owner to see it in person. We did make that seller an offer and were "accepted" as a backup, incase their initial buyer fell through.
Here's the part where "things happen for a reason". Back in my office the next day, I searched Facebook Marketplace one more time and sure enough, a new listing had popped up half a day before. It was a 2018, one owner, stored indoors when not in use, well maintained unit located just shy of six hours from our location, but only about 45 minutes south of our daughter's house. I contacted the seller right away and they actually agreed to hold it for us until we could all meet that Saturday to see it in person. Long story short, we met the extremely nice couple selling the camper and it was absolutely everything they said it was and that the pictures showed. It was in nicer, cleaner condition than the three others we were considering and the price was $9,000 lower!
We're excited to have a camper again and are looking forward to making a ton of memories in our Reflection. Thanks to all the advice and information I got from the great folks on this site, I think we made a good decision that we will be happy with for a long time to come.
