Fireplace glass shattered

Brought Our 303 RLS home from storage this afternoon after it had been sitting there for a few months since our last trip. Unfortunately, we saw that the glass panel on the fireplace was totally shattered. It kind of stinks because we’re heading to South Carolina and would really like to use the Fireplace, but it may not happen. Has this happened to anybody else? I’m gonna call our dealer in the morning on sheer hope that they may have one in stock. Didn’t really get a chance to take a look at it, but I can’t get the top part of it off. May have screws holding it in.

If it is an Innoflame fireplace, highly unlikely the dealer will have just the glass. Getting parts for them are impossible without buying a new one. Your best bet is a RV surplus store. Mine fried the board in it, and no way to get a replacement board. No aftermarket either. I have a small ceramic heater next to it now. New one is over $300.

It’s a Furrion. And you’re exactly right. Just called the dealer. No parts. Have to buy a new one. 500+ bucks.

We replaced the fireplace in our Solitude with a Dimplex unit off Amazon. $380 (it's a big one), much better quality and nicer looking, and replacement parts can be had from Dimplex.

I haven't done a search in a bit, but if I remember, the cut out depth of the fireplace on mine is only something like 5", which limits what is available, so mine is currently in place looking purty for now.

I’ve been reading reviews on the diplex unit that say the fan is really noisy. Is that true?

We haven't found that to be the case - at least compared to the other RV fireplaces we've owned. They're all a bit noisy in a small space, but the Dimplex is probably a bit quieter than the others in our experience.

We have a 2021 Reflection 295RL 150 Series. We took delivery in Feb 21 and stored it under roof in an unheated storage area about 30 miles from our home in Illinois that next winter. In Dec 21, I checked in on it and when I stepped into the 5th, I could see the glass all over the floor. The dealer checked on new glass, no longer made. (I found this fact crazy having come from the farm equipment manufacturing world where most products are support a minimum of ~ 15 years.) Anyway, I asked the dealer then to replace the entire unit under warranty. GD rejected that. They tried a 2nd time. Same result. They then suggested I call directly as GD seems to respond better to customers, so they told me. Well, I called and had a short, pleasant 5 min conversation with a nice lady and had a brand-new fireplace sitting on my front porch just a few days later. Your results may vary.
