An RVer reported completing an extended trip that started in May and covered about 5,000 miles, calling it a great experience overall despite frustrations with crowded weekends, loose children, and off-leash dogs. They also mentioned learning practical road routines, including getting medication while traveling and navigating small back-road gas stations, and said they already want to leave again after less than a week at home.

We typically do 200-225 miles in a day. And stop at least every 3rd stop for more than just an overnight.

Our mantra is "we travel to SEE stuff (as in stop and spend some time). Not to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible."
get setup and see what's in the area to see there have been time some day covers other times 3 or 4 depending on what there to see. I hare had a 1 hour day as we found something we wanted to stop to see. The 3-3-3 is just a guideline of how we travel it's not set in stone. If 4-4-4 works for you then that's your travel schedule we normally don't find 4 days of thing we want to see. We have run crazy on the 3-3 and just had a chill day 4.

Well, the Wife and I finally went and did it. We packed up our RV in May and just got home to get Doctors, Vet, etc done.
Overall, it was a great experience with some exceptions.

We found out that the weekends are horrible at times. These people show up, let their kids loose and crack a cold one before they are even set up. We just love it when Sunday hits.

And dogs. No need to say what everyone knows. Yes, your dog is friendly to others but if they walk up to someone (off leash) and they scream, they are a threat and they will protect themselves at all cost.

So, I hate being home right now, I want to hit the road.
We understand, just got back from a 32 day-er 25 days of that were 'working vacation' for me. Where we were, the weekends were not bad but, the unexperienced and "loud" campers still exist.
