First time Moving our RV

Hi All! We just bought our first RV a month ago. I bought an F250 SuperDuty Diesel to haul it, but I need advice on what hitch to buy to tow it. We have to move it this weekend about 10 miles down the the road. We have a 2024 315RLTS. We are also new to fulltime living with a Great Dane. Any and all advice would be welcomed!

Loaded to camp it could have north of 1600 lbs tongue weight
It might be a lot for your truck to handle without a weight distribution system
Timber grove enterprises has good hitches that are rated for 2000 lbs that are adjustable that I would use for such a short distance. Just take your time if it doesn’t squat your truck to much
If you are going to tow more often though I would get a quality wdh

I currently have a weigh safe. It actually has a gauge on it that lets you distribute the weight evenly on your tongue and hitch. It’s manufactured in the USA. Your truck and rv should set level when it’s set correctly. I have been using it for about four months now and have experienced no sway.

Just bought a new 2670MK and Silverado 3500. Considering what the truck and trailer cost, even if the truck doesn't need it, $1k-$2k for a good WD hitch with sway control is cheap insurance. I'm using an equal-i-zer 14k and I'm very happy with it.

A good WDH with integrated sway control is needed for that combo. Heck, I have a WDH with my 1 ton Super Duty, and I only have a 26’ Imagine.
