When on the road and we stop for the night I notice my 5th wheel running lights flicker if I keep the rig plugged into my truck. Only way to stop the flickering is to disconnect the trailer. Not sure what’s going on. Any ideas?

We have noticed this also with 3 different trucks. All 2017 or later GMC's. Something to do with the truck's systems sensing the trailer. Never really worried about it.

It’s a GM truck, right? It’s normal with LED trailer lights.

Yepper. Thanks for that

GM….. just got my trailer module replaced last week. Was having frequent (and at the worst times possible) “check trailer” warnings and no trailer brakes. NOT fun. Anyway, GM replaced the module and so far (2,500 miles later) no issues.
