Leaving in a couple weeks. In past travels I have had fuel issues when traveling through previously flooded areas. Just wondering if there are or will be any issues do to the flooding in the Midwest to Southeast along this route. I am talking about truck stops or gas stations currently under water, or will be flooded along that route, or road damage to avoid.

Thanks

I would recommend sticking to Truck Stop fueling and big truck stops at that. Because, the big truck stops run through a lot of fuel each day and the fuel will be fresher than if you stopped at a smaller "Mom and Pop" station along your route. Additionally, Water sits at the bottom of the tank so if you fuel after 50 or 60 trucks have already fueled up, they would have already sucked up any water at the bottom of the tank (in other words, don't be first in line at the pumps in the morning).

We're leaving tomorrow from Williams, AZ (April 20th) and heading to North GA primarily along I-40. Hopefully as we get closer to the Mississippi River area we don't run into any flooded fuel stations!

I'll try to report back on fuel stop conditions as we traverse I-40. We typically stop at Love's as we use the Open Roads fuel program.

We are heading out on May 5 from Maine to Williams and we use Open Roads also. Wondering if you did have any fuel issues?

We made it to OKC today. Heading further east into Arkansas on Sunday. So far no fuel issues anywhere we've stopped along I-40.

Today we passed through Little Rock and Memphis. Flooding was only observed around larger rivers (and definitely at the Mississippi). None of the towns or fuel stops appeared to be closed and we had no issues getting into fuel stops (we typically stop at Love's) and getting fuel, including the Love's between I-40 and I-55 in West Memphis.

Made it to our destination in North GA today. No fuel stations issues on the west side of Nashville or in Murfreesboro or the Chattanooga areas.
