After reading previous posts, I have a better understanding of propane vs gas generators, but don't understand installation. Can you leave a gas generator installed in the RV and not have to lift it? The larger gas generators would work for us but are too heavy for me to move.

If not, it seems that the propane generator might be a good for choice if we want to be able to stop for the night at a rest area and sleep; or to occasionally camp without a hook up.

Thoughts?

Thank you

Me and the wife are looking at a solitude and are wondering about if anyone has the onan 5500 lp installed. Specific questions are how long can you run it? Can you feel it running? How loud is it? If anyone has this generator installed and can respond to these inquires we would be grateful.
