Need some help. We are putting vent covers on vent fans....there is a problem with the vent fan n the bathroom. Due to the location of a vent stack, no vent fan cover will work. The one in the kitchen -- no problem. The bathroom vent stack is too close to the van lid to allow a vent hood cover to work.

Do you guys have any solutions?

Here in Texas we have some pretty nasty weather and that includes hail. if the vent gets hit with some ice stones there is no vent cover to help.

Had the same problem with our 337 bath vent. I'd ordered a Create-a-breeze power vent to be installed by the dealer before pick-up along with a black Fan Mate 900 cover. They installed the power vent but the Fan mate cover wouldn't fit because of the tank vent. They ordered a Ultrabreeze cover from Fantastic for me and delivered it. I haven't installed but did check it for fitment...it'll work but may have to be installed a little forward of center to clear. Here's the link to that cover... http://www.fantasticvent.com/products/ultrabreeze.html

I don't think you can mount in the holes that they mention in the video or written instructions but a bit further towards the front of the camper. Not positive as the cover has slots that allow some adjustment.

Hi Dean (@Justaguy),

It looks like Dave (@Happy Camper) has answered your question. (Thanks Dave! :) ) And please feel free to contact our Customer Service department directly (our phone number is listed in my signature, below) if you need further assistance with this aftermarket part installation.

Best regards,

Thanks for checking in Janice...can't get any particular one to work as the clearance from the vent stack is not there. Seems like if you go forward to the front of the coach you risk puncturing the rubber membrane. It looks like one can't be installed. I hate taking a chance on letting that ride without one but those of us with 337's might not have a choice, eh? If you come across some suggestions from your people it would help a great deal.

Thanks again,

Dean

After you posted this I got the vent cover out of the box and checked it again. It's a close fit but I'm confident that it can be installed there. The cover doesn't have any flange across the front, just the grill which is about 3/8" wide.

Dean...is it the Ultra-Breeze vent cover by Fantastic that you're trying? In all honesty I've placed the cover over the vent but haven't operated the vent. That's a Create-a-breeze fan that I had installed before pick-up.

I've attached a photo I took a while ago...is the vent pipe closer on your camper?

Dean...the Fantastic Fan Ultrabreeze vent cover is now installed. There's no problem with clearance with the tank vent or with opening/closing the manual operated vent from the bathroom.
