I don't know if this is new or not, but I just became aware of a Ford Motor Company site that will give you very detailed capacity and load information from a Vin Number. I've seen other sites like this, but the information is more general. I've entered three trucks that I am familiar with into this site and it provides the "yellow sticker" info exactly and also provides the GCWR which is sometime a little difficult to find. Hope this helps someone. https://fordfleetlive.com/#/VinCalculator

OMG! This is gold. I just checked and it’s perfectly accurate as far as truck configuration, payload etc goes. This is a keeper.

You can enter a vin for any Ford truck you may be interested in and get accurate Payload.

I’m using it on my iPad. Cut and paste the vin from my notes and it comes right up.

I even tried with your VIN in case I had mine wrong and still nothing. The tongue weight from GVWR works on the trailer section, but that is it.

No worky for me either....there wasn't even an enter button to click after entering the VIN

What information is it giving you that you don’t already have?
I don’t understand the point
It is all on the drivers door

Great tool if your searching the Internet to buy a truck and only have the VIN. Otherwise, I get your point.

I'm looking to upgrade/upsizing my truck (Rob said that I have to). Dealers post thier window stickers, but typically not their door stickers. The Vin# is on the window sticker, so I can use this to know if its worth trecking out to the dealership to look at the truck.

Yes, that is what I was saying if you are replying to me.

I have a 2020 F-350 affected by the recall regarding the yellow sticker on the door. Door sticker says payload capacity is 4,541 lbs. Per Ford VIN calculator, payload capacity for my truck is 4,067 lbs. Curb weight based on GVWR of 12,400 would be 8,333 lbs. Truck with 48 gals of diesel weighed 8,360 lbs. Also, calculator was helpful making towing calculations. Thanks for the info.

WOW great find! It matched my truck's payload sticker perfectly. With my trailer loaded to GVWR and me and 200 pounds of stuff in the bed I still have 17,100 pound of gross combined weight rating left lol!! Guess I've got a little wiggle room.

This is cool!

Now, how do I check which rear-end I actually have?

My window sticker says a 3.31 e-locker and the website says 3.55EL...

One is lying. (Cue; suspenseful music)

How do I find out 'after the break'?

Is there a code on the diffy itself?

All of the options are on a label likely in the glove box
