Is there an aftermarket backup camera for the RV that works with the 2022 series Ford trucks ? Fords price is ridiculous for just a camera & wiring, should be bluetooth but not. I have just the standard camera system not the Pro trailer assist.
I want the camera display on my big screen but at nearly " $500 in the box" I may just keep using the haloview but if you guys are using the Ford RV camera and really like I may just open the ole piggy bank. I guess I should just get it after how deep Im into a truck & RV

For my 2023 Superduty, I installed these to get a hardwired camera setup similar to the OEM. Lots cheaper, work great with my OEM 12" dash display (uses OEM rear trailer display function) , and fairly easy install - all for under $250.

Vehicle OEM display cam pigtail:

TV/RV connection:

RV rear cam:

RV Cam wire:

BTW: Didnt like the wireless setup.... hardwired always gets best reliable connection IMO. However, with the Pigtail listed above, could probably connect a wireless receiver to it.

Happy Trails

I installed the trailer tire pressure and temperature wiring harness kit on my 2022 F250 with the ultimate tow package. I really like having the trailer tire info seamlessly integrated into the Ford dashboard display. It works great.

This wiring harness also includes the rear camera connection, which also integrates into the Ford console display. However, I did not install the Ford camera for the sole reason it can only be used for backup. I want to be able to see what’s happening behind the trailer while driving (like checking the ebikes on the rack), and you can’t do that with the Ford system.

Thanks for this write up @trailrydr ,it will likely help others. Any chance you could add some pics?
If one has the OEM trailer tow (assume most do) and SYNC 4 12" display, Zorg haa some pictures of the connector that gets spliced into. Other than that, its just a matter of connecting into and placing the TV (side) connector, and running and placing the RV side connector and camera. We opted to mount ours to the bottom of the RV ladder (in rear) and running aviatiion cam wire above coroplast upto a forward frame area for mounting the RV (side) connector. Really not much more than that.

With my setup, I can view rear traffic while moving. Just hit the camera button on top of the 12" and select the trailer cam is how I do it.

Did you have to do anything on the Ford side to make it viewable while driving? When I researched this a couple of years ago, not being able to view the rear trailer cam while underway with the Ford factory system was a huge limitation. Did Ford change something since then? I might be tempted to add the Ford camera to my setup if it is viewable while underway. The wiring back to the trailer is already there in my case.

Nope. Just hooked my camera connection to the Zorg pigtail which connects to the OEM connector behind the bumper. Then while traveling, just select which view.

The biggest PIA, was when backing into a spot. My F250 SRW has horrible turning radius and requires some back and forth "tries" to get it into the "hole".... which if selecting between Drive and Reverse causes the cam to shift back to bumper pull view (which I think can be hard set to trailer view when using reverse) but we leave it in its normal mode for when bobtailing (without RV) around town. But yes..... one can watch the "muffler sniffers" going down the road if they wish on the 12" SYNC4.
