We have no idea where it came from but it was found near the fire extinguisher near the door. Does anyone have any idea where this might go to?

Thanks

That looks like a random, simple on/off or momentary-on switch. Previous owner was most likely planning a project or dropped it from his “fix-it” kit. I have a little drawer full of these.

Op is the only owner according to posts

New-to-you trailer? Doesn't really look OEM.

OP replied, "Nope, single owner. I agree that it doesn't look OEM but darn if I can figure out what it is

The response to "New-to-you trailer?" was "Nope". It's possible there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the chain, but I'm just going by what I'm reading.

Since it is missing the nut that holds in onto the panel, and doesn't look like any wires have been attached, that would argue for it falling out of something somewhere. Since the OP is the only owner of the trailer, though, and the trailer is five years old, that would be a puzzle. One would think that anything that was loose would have fallen out long ago. If it just fell, the OP should be able to recognize that something is missing. Maybe a mouse is bringing you gifts in hopes that you will let it stay for the winter. <grin>

That is a push button switch, it is probably a "momentary" type switch as opposed to a "latching" switch.

It should go to something you would want to look at momentarily like the water tank monitor, or battery gauge with the led lights.

Maybe out of some repair techs pouch (unknowingly) . . . .but that opens up a new discussion on "Inspection" and/or unit "pre delivery cleaning"?
