Front Cap is breaking away from the wall

It has been about a month since the last time we washed our 2021 Solitude 310GK and during that time we took two trips. We just washed it today and noticed the front cap has separated from the sides near the top at the curve. the drivers side isn't as bad, but the passenger side is showing over 1/2" separation from where the caulking had been. Is this frame flex or some other nightmare?

Normally, the off-door side is the the worse for wear with flex because of the bed slide-out. I would contact GD with pictures and have them arrange for a dealer inspection (if you trust your dealer). It isn't necessarily flex. All our screws on the door side filon trim snapped within about 900 miles and we found that same issue in Sioux Falls with a brand new 310 just delivered to the dealer. That problem was over-torquing of screws and I'd personally be more concerned with attachment of the cap. Mine was at the factory for flex in April but all the symptoms were on the slide-out side and it took close to 15K miles on the trailer for the symptoms to show. The sealant should be checked every couple of months and not uncommon for it to separate. That said, better safe than sorry and open a case with GD - you are in the flex window with a 2021 and 1/2" seems a bit excessive.

You might post your problem on the Solitude thread. It might help more people there.

Reflection is what the poor people buy because they can't afford a Solitude :ROFLMAO:

I know People that can afford any RV they want but they have a Reflection because it fit there style of camping. I am sure you just offend a lot of people on here. Might want to apologize to those people. Truth be told they probably have a lot more money then you.

Another inaccurate statement. The bank owns my Solitude which I bought for reasons that are immaterial to you but were justifiable to me. I find your continuing comments offensive from someone that doesn't own a Grand Design product and if an apology is in order, it's from you. You and your YT brethren have done more damage to the resale value of GD RVs (including me personally) than any potential design flaw which spans the entire industry. This an open forum - I get it. But what really is your agenda?

Or maybe they just did not need that large of an RV? Lots of different reasons why people purchase rv's. I am still trying to figure out what any of this has to do with the cap seperation that the OP has. Hopefully Grand Design will be able to help her with the issue

Kind of interesting because the OP had it listed for sale here in October. Wonder if they still have it and also if GD is assisting? Would be nice to hear back from the OP.
