I have a 2017 Reflection 337RLS ( VIN 573FR3621H3311627) and these lights have quit working. I have verified that there is 12V at the switch in the Nautilus Panel; but, have been unable to trace/follow the wiring other than what is under the bed in the slide. I am suspicious that a connection has come loose somewhere in the slide; but, don't know where to look or what to take apart to access the connection points in that circuit.

UPDATE
Contacted GD and got the same answer I received on another electrical issue - they have no wiring diagrams to assist with troubleshooting. No help there.

I dug a little deeper today and removed the false floor from the storage area at the foot of the bed and found the problem. Photo 1 shows the wires and no crimp connector. The crimp connector had been pulled off and can be seen in the lower part of the photo. The upper part of Photo 2 shows the bed frame that rides over the wires and connectors when the slide is deployed. There is very little clearance between the bottom of the bed frame and the carpet and the frame caught the crimp connector and pulled it off. Photo 3 shows my fix. I cut out a small square of the carpet and padding and laid the crimp connectors in that hole and then secured them with a small strap.

I really like our 337; but, some of the electrical design and installation practices continue to baffle me.

Great troubleshooting. I agree electrical is sloppy in general on my unit also. Had to track down a few electrical issues initially. That being said since then so far so good.

Now that I have my unit, I've flipped the same switch, 3 blue lights come on under the bed slide. What else should be on? Also, what does the porch light switch on the inside panel control? Does nothing that I can tell.

The “porch” light is the blue LED behind the entry stairs.

I have a switch marked 'step light' for that.

Interesting "wiring evolution" over the years :). On ours, the "step light" switch controls the light on the interior steps up to the bedroom.

Ahhh. Now that you mention it, that's right. Forgot about that one since I've been turning them on at same time to figure out what was what.

Thanks.

Any thoughts on the switch on the water panel? It says cap lights. Where are those?

On our 2015 303, the unlabeled switch on the water panel is for the blue LEDs on the underside of the bedroom slide. There is another switch on the underside of the overhang, for the light bar above the pinbox. Maybe on the later models with auto levelling, they moved the switch for the pinbox lights to the water panel? . . . just a guess.

Rob:
At least up to "early" 2018 models ours is exactly the same way as you describe. The blue lights under the slide out are controlled by the switch on the water panel and the light bar on the front nose is controlled by a waterproof switch underneath the overhang in front on the driver side.

That's how mine behaves. Maybe they haven't updated the sticker on the water panel.

Thanks!

OK, since we're talking about the blue slide and step lights, can someone tell me what the heck they are good for? Neither of them cast enough light to make them worthwhile - are they so we can find the door and not find the slide with our head when it is pitch black outside? I never use them and very rarely see any other GD owner turn them on, either. If they serve a purpose, I'm going to install enough lights to make them worthwhile. Maybe a couple of indirect lights shining on the steps and a proximity sensor that will sound an alarm and illuminate the slide if anyone gets within 15 feet of it. (Can you tell that I've smacked my head on the slide a few times?)

I have to agree on the lights under the bedroom slide . . . I almost never use ours and per some discussion on "cost savings ideas" at the last Elkhart Rally, it was suggested that GDRV could save money and simplify build complexity by eliminating these . . . and hardly anyone would notice :).

The light behind the step does make a difference if there is absolutely no other lighting on your campsite. I used this circuit to add a row of ten similar white lights down each side of our 303. These are on a dimmer, so I can adjust "background lighting" to suit how bright the rest of the campsite is.

Adding my 2 cents. I do turn these on. When it is pitch black at night in a dark wooded campsite they are a life saver (OK head saver). When you came back to your site at night and no other lights are on you can get to the camper front door with that blue step light. I do not see any purpose other than identifying where the slide is or where the steps are though. That were never intended to "light up" the area. Personally, I like them. YMMV

Pls show me these when we get together.
Thanks, TomF

Rob, where did you find those? Would love the in the same blue.

Hi Kevin - I found the white ones at a discount auto accessories store in Canada . . . very much like a Harbor Freight.
They are 3/4” and come with a rubber gasket for a flush fit in a 7/8” hole. These look very similar in blue . . . but might be brighter than the OE ones. https://www.amazon.com/Marker-Light...57&sr=1-6&keywords=Blue+led+3+4+marker+lights

The biggest part of the project was making the wiring harness!
