I opened my storage compartment. Noticed alot of my things were wet. I removed everything and had a large puddle on the floor. Also the floor has a bow in it. So I'm assuming the wood under the linoleum is bad. Can't find where the leak is coming from. Any help is appreciated.

Impossible to help

You need to get in there and close it up
Have someone run the garden hose all over the camper
Observe where it is coming in and fix it

Could be coming through the doors ,roof who knows

I would remove the luan on the front and see if the insulation is wet

What does the sealant on the front cap look like?

I had my son put the garden hose on the compartment door on the awning side and ran it 30 seconds later I saw water coming in under the molding on top of the vinyl floor. The caulking around the door looks good. The rubber gasket around the door looks ok but I've ordered a new one. Don't know how else the water would get in.

Sounds like you found the leak

I would reseal the baggage door It may look good but maybe not.

Thanks for your reply. Any idea how hard would it be to replace the storage floor?

Tear out linoleum cut out the bad floor and replace. Unsure where the crossmembers are in there but I would perhaps fabricate something if needed.
Recover with linoleum
Shouldn’t be that hard a job

I had the same problem with my Imagine. I crawled inside and had my wife spray water on the door. I could not find the problem. I chaulked all around the door and lock, it still leaked. Deb found on line another RVer had the problem with a Keystone trailer.. The screws in the storage door frame were not sealed, water was leaking down by the screws. I placed chaulk on the screw heads, no more leaks.

Thanks for your reply. Has anyone out there replaced the vinyl floor in the storage compartment

Check the latch striker plate on bottom of door frame. The seal on the back of our 2021 2600RB was bad allowing water to leak in.

We had an issue with water in the storage area. Found that the city water connection was leaking behind the panel in our 21 260RD. Had the RV service repair it.

I had a similar problem in my Momentum 397TH. I discovered the water was leaking around a screw in the baggage door frame where water would accumulate after a rain. The screw heads were covered with silicone caulk, but evidently not enough. I ended up tearing out the floor in the baggage area and replaced it. Not easy but doable if you have some skills and tools. I also checked all the other exterior door frames for potential leaks. I'm not sure the wisdom of using screws on the outside of the frame instead of inside.

Thanks for your response. What exactly is under the vinyl flooring. Is it plywood , masonite, particleboard etc..

The floor is a composite floor with aluminum framing and rigid foam insulation. I believe they use a thicker luan product for the outer surfaces. I don't know the exact thickness but it is under 1/4".

Thanks. I saw on utube where one person's was particle board and it was a mess from water damage.

Is the door bowed? Same thing happened to us, I added weather stripping until I realized the door was bowed, which is actually very typical, and I bent mine flat.

So, to fix. Use your knee in the middle, with both hands apply pressure, take, your, time. Bend it straight, a little at a time. Ours hasn't leaked since then and that was four years ago.
