Recently started FT'ing in new Influence 2903RL. Going to camp in area with mid 20's temp. Do I need to drain the tankless water heater every night or will it be ok if we are running the furnace? Looking for someone with experience to advise.

I purchased a bilge heater for a boat. It is in basement pointed at wet bay and back of water heater.
It comes on at 40deg. And off at 44 degrees.
3 winters with a few days in 20’s and now problems.
That way we have peace of mind
I think it was around 300.00

What year is your camper? Do you have the new freeze protection motherboard for the TWH? I installed it on mine and like it.

The basement seems to stay warm even when just running the heat pump and electric furnaces. Water heater is next to the cargo bay but not visible from there where a bilge heater would help though not sure I fully understand what you're saying here. Thanks for the response.

It's a 2025 and from what I can tell from manual the model I have does not have the freeze protection but that is great information if I can upgrade it to have freeze protection. That would give me a lot of peace of mind. Do not want to ruin the unit and be caught without a water heater. I will call GD and see if I can get it and upgrade mine. Thanks for the feedback.

You may wanna check with Furrion. Mine is a 2022 and needed the upgraded motherboard. I bought it for like $125 and installed it myself.

Did not realize it could be upgraded. Crazy they just would put that in a unit that is made for FT and 4 season for $125. That would give me a lot of peace of mind. Yeah I ordered mine from Lippert. Looks like it was $103.95 when I bought it. Here is the info: Item number 2022006595. Lippert's phone number is 574-537-8900. Hope that helps!

I have a 2024 Reflection 303. The owners manual indicates that it does have the warming function. I have taken a screenshot of the appropriate section in the owners manual. Running the furnace below freezing is good insurance as the furnace blower keeps both the underbelly and garage warm.

Your furnace has freeze protection. Keep your heat on and propane tanks with fuel and you'll be fine through winter. On occasion you may hear the unit kick on even though you're not running the hot water, this is the freeze protection heating the little bowl.
