RV Parky. Gas Buddy. I try to stay away from the Love's etc.
Loves has a great discount with the TSD card, I also have a Mudflap app, but usually the TSD is cheaper.

I prefer getting DEF at the truck pumps too. Way easier than dealing with boxes. Not too shabby in my book. Plus, the diesel pumps are easy to get into and out of, and my wife can stay in the truck without having to go inside.........back on the road quickly.
In all our trips, I try to fill up with Open Roads. Savings at some locations were north of $.40/gal. I also got the GoodSams Pilot card (works at Flying J also) which gives a whopping 5-6cents off a gallon but also allows me to not have to go inside. I'm going to have to look at savings - I know it's significant but just haven't added it up yet.I debated about starting a new thread, but though I would just tack on my comments on this older thread.
I have been using the Open Roads TSD fuel card since a western trip in 2022. Here are some interesting stats (at least to me)
I have filled up 21 times using my TSD card. 3 of those fill ups were at Pilot/Flying J, which do not honor the TSD card, and Open Roads charges $1.00 for using an out of network station. But it is worth the extra $1.00 to me and the missus to not have to inside, give a credit card, then go back inside for a receipt.
So out of the 21 fill ups using my TSD card, I have been given a $162.34 discount, with fees of $27.26 (including 3 out of network fees) for a total of $135.08 savings. That is almost 2 tanks of fuel in savings. Not too shabby in my book. Plus, the diesel pumps are easy to get into and out of, and my wife can stay in the truck without having to go inside.........back on the road quickly.
We mostly use Love's just because we know we can use the TSD card at the pump. I've tried it a various other truck stops but the pump doesn't usually accept the TSD card. I had the impression it could be used many places but you didn't receive a discount and they might charge a fee for doing it. But it usually just doesn't work for me at all. Have you found it works at other non-network truck stops?
TSD. It will only work in the truck lanes
Okay, so even with partners it only works at the pump where there are truck lanes, and for many non-partners with truck lanes it doesn't work at the pump either. I've just had a hard time figuring out when it should or shouldn't work at the pump. Thanks for the responses.Besides Loves, I have also used it at TAs with comparable discounts.
Checking out the Open roads website, these are listed as partners.
You really have to use the app. Not all Loves are participants for example. I stopped for fuel south of Toledo around Millbury, OH and fueled up at the truck pumps. It took the TSD card, but there was no discount at all (confirmed that on the app) prior but needed fuel and there was a Blue Beacon next door. Believe they had a sign advising that.Okay, so even with partners it only works at the pump where there are truck lanes, and for many non-partners with truck lanes it doesn't work at the pump either. Yeah, I do use the app. The discounts are nice, but the real benefit to me is being able to use the larger lanes and DEF pumps, and to pay at the pump. I wish there was one card that you could just use at all the truck stops whether they are large chains or smaller independents. Even if I had to pay a $1.00 service fee without a discount. That would just be convenient. You really have to use the app. Not all Loves are participants for example. I stopped for fuel south of Toledo around Millbury, OH and fueled up at the truck pumps. First time I've heard of it. They seem to have some of the same partners (TA, Speedway, Petro,...) as TSD. Wonder what the negotiated price difference is between the two?some of you use Mudflap. how did you get signed up as they turned me down because I was " just" an RV'er & not a trucking company ?
TSD was happy to get my money.
Were you trying to get their card or just sign up for the app? I just have their app and use my own credit card. Maybe that's the only way RVers can use it. I never attempted to get a credit card with them.some of you use Mudflap. how did you get signed up as they turned me down because I was " just" an RV'er & not a trucking company ?

Mudflap used to have fuel stations in more rural areas where Open Roads didn't. That was handy for us because we often avoid interstates. Now Open Roads has Circle K and others so they have more off-interstate coverage than they used to. There is an independent truck stop out off a highway not too far from us and they are in Mudflap but not Open Roads. I can use the truck lane and bulk DEF there due to Mudflap. When I looked at Mud Flap about a year ago, the discounts and number of stations were a lot less than TSD. I did a route and compared the two, Mud Flap discounts on the route were no where near as much as TSD, and they had less stations along the route. This was for around the area of the mid-west/east part of the country, so maybe the mileage is better further west.
Using the TSD card, you do not have to go inside, just use the card at the pump. I usually pump, pull forward, then go inside to get the receipt, and use the head. I am gone before the truck behind me gets done. Couple of times, I just pump and go, never going inside, the receipt shows up on the app in a relatively short time. The nice thing about Mudflap is that you just pull up their app before filling, get a code, select pay inside at the pump, fill, and go pay. You don't have to run inside first, go out and fill, then go back inside.
Correct. I was just saying that if someone doesn't have the TSD card...many people don't like TSD card because it requires you to put in a bank account not a credit card.Using the TSD card, you do not have to go inside, just use the card at the pump.
