Furnace won't start

So it's 32 degrees out and snowing. The furnace has been working great up until now. Yesterday it ran out of propane. I put on new tanks, and nothing. I tried cycling through the thermostat, and nothing. I read on here about the flow valves, so I disconnected the tanks, reconnected them, and very slowly opened the tanks, and nothing. So I repeated. The propane indicator on the valve is in the green on both tanks, and I have tried switching between them. Just to be safe I got out my propane sniffer, and there are no leaks.

Is there a trick to turning the furnace back on after it has run itself out of propane?

Thanks.

Light your burners on stove to bleed air out of lines and try again.

It will take quite a few attempts before the propane will fill the empty branch line to the furnace. The only way to fill it is to cycle the gas valve during the ignition process.
