Hello, I’ve search but can’t find a definitive answer. I have read that there is a built in soft start on these units, so I am wondering if I can get by using a Westinghouse igen2500 generator? Thxs

I have read that it has a soft start, I would like to confirm someone who is using this set up before dropping 600 dollars on a generator to insure it works.

For what it's worth, I just got an iGen2500 and it runs my 15K BTU AC on the 2400BH just fine. When running, the generator showed 1450W so I imagine there's some room to spare for battery charging as well with 2200W sustained. there are no 30A outlets, so I use a 5-20 dogbone connector.

Nice little generator, and it's easy to pick up unlike the (very nice but heavy) Generac iq3500.
