Just two days ago my FCR20DCAFA-SG (same model, different color variant) started having the flickering light issue exactly as described in this other thread:
12 Volt Furion, 20CF Issue - Resolved!
As mentioned, it does seem to be very likely when the refrigerator enters defrost mode that it will start doing this light flickering, but it definitely stops cooling and doesn't seem to ever recover. I performed a hard reset, but it eventually will start flickering the light again after several hours.
I've definitely been in hotter climates before it went out the other day, so maybe it is a cumulative heat effect that eventually kills the board. We were plugged in with the A/C running when it went out. Also, I have the data history of the shore power voltage and it was well within the normal range (the lowest it dropped was 117v on Line 1 and 111v on Line 2 for just a moment), and my batteries were fully charged the entire time with the converter running and solar during the day so my 12v circuits should have never experienced low voltage. I've never seen anything out of spec on the high voltage side on the 12v either. The very first time I hard reset the refrigerator, my inverter did have an error code and was stuck reporting shore power, but the inverter is fine throughout subsequent light flickering in the refrigerator and hard resets, so I can't really tell what happened to fault the inverter around the same time as its rated voltage range is 85-140Vac and my hardwired Power Watchdog did not trip on any condition.
I had to call in directly to Lippert/Furrion and request the control board, but can confirm that the board with the heatsink on half of the board as Edward9285 posted is what the representative said is the current revision. I was just barely out of warranty, so the representative gave me an exception and I only had to pay $18 shipping cost.
I know this latest revision is only a few months old, but for anyone that does replace it with this newest control board, it would be great to know if there are any issues with yours in the coming months.
