I was wondering what people changed their solar charge controller to. .I upgraded the battery to a 200ah lithium and have the same issues as everyone else. What are your thoughts on Midnite controllers or LiTime?

x3 for Victron. Just get a good reliable one with Bluetooth and forget about the rest. Just my $.02. And while you're at it, put in a cutoff breaker/switch between the panels and controller if it doesn't already have one. Good luck!

I also have a Victron right now. I previously had a Blue Sky for4 years, which was fine but was maxed out when I decided to add more panels. I was just gonna add a second Blue Sky, but the tech talked me into getting the larger Victron instead.

I went with the Victron also, and now use the Furrion for my portable suitcase panel setup.
Very happy with the move!

Victfon for sure plus a dongle (maybe not called that) to monitor on your phone. Hopefully you can zoom in on pic to see model numbers. I have 800 watts of solar, soon to double to 1600..810 amp hours of lithium batteries. The inverter is priceless for dry camping. Solar controller is far left.

I wish I would have thought of this earlier in case it matters to you, but based on @Rideblue51 response above...If you get a Victron Smart Solor model MPPT, it will not have Bluetooth built in and you have to buy a dongle if you decide you just want to manage it on your phone without getting a Cerbo GX or other device.

If you buy a Victron Blue Solar model, it will have Bluetooth built in and you don't need a Dongle or other. I didn't know this when I bought mine - both Smart Solar models a few years ago. :(

I installed the Victron 10030 controller, dongle and a solar panel circuit breaker. Thank you all for your advice. Happy camping.

Hello Everyone-
I just ordered a Victron Smart Solar MPPT 100/50 to replace my furrion solar controller. A few of you mentioned a circuit breaker between the panels and MPPT. I don't see in the obvious places that it came with one from the factory.

Would a circuit breaker like this work?

I have an Epoch 460ah Lithium battery with victron coms and currently 165W of Solar but going to add another 200W panel to bring it up to 365W.

Thank you all for your help!

I'd say no because it's a single throw switch. I chose the double throw so my solar panel is totally isolated. I figured I'd do this once.... ha .I'm assured nothing is coming back from the solar panel.

I'm using a similar switch, and it works well.
