My Furrion Refrigerator won't turn off with the knob in the fridge. Any ideas? I pulled the fuse to turn it off but it came right back on when I reinstalled the fuse.

It is in a Imagine 23 LDE. 12v compressor fridge.

Are you sure you are turning the knob fully counterclockwise? That's all we do with ours. It shuts completely off including the light.

Yes. Mine used to do that and I thought the light went off previously. The light and compressor continue to run when the knob is turned to off now. It passes the detent and clicks, but it continues to run.

I should look at your history as I am interested in your setup. Did you put the batteries under the dinette seats?

Ok, that sounds like a broken knob or something. If you reach out to either GD or Furrion directly, I think you'll get help you need. Or, your dealership of course.

Regarding the batteries and rest of the system, I chose to put everything in the storage bay. I put a topper on the truck and built a slider with shelves to carry all of the stuff that would have gone into the storage bay...and then some. :)

Well, same issue for me and now I am on my 3rd thermostat

My first one would freeze everything out even when turned down to like the 9:00 position, then off.... no control
The second one wouldn't turn off just like you describe, came out one day and found 4" of ice in the freezer... not fun

They are flaky, get a new thermostat and it's an easy replacement, 3 screws and 10 mins at best

Good luck
Rick

Curious, did you buy a third party thermostat or get one from Furrion? I've been communicating with them for a few weeks about our fridge that keeps the fridge at a good temp (36F-40F), but the freezer jumps around mostly between 16F-20F and we cannot get it colder without the fridge section freezing. They want me to do some test, which I can't do until we're back home. But they did tell me there is no adjustment to be made and that depending on how the tests turn out, it would require replacement. It's under warranty until January. But if I can replace the thermostat with a chance that would help, it would make more sense to me.

After some slow back and forth about the RV, Lippert is sending a replacement thermostat under warranty. Hopefully it will resolve the issue.

Kenric, did the new thermostat fix the issue? I'm having the same issue.

Yes, I just got to install it yesterday and it did fix the issue. Fairly easy to replace too. Lippert sent out the replacement free after several email exchanges. I had been just pulling the fuse to turn it off.

Also, the light doesn't turn off when the refrigerator is "off". I thought the old one did, but maybe not. Only two wires are connected to the knob, so it must only control the compressor.

Yes the thermostat only runs the compressor, my light comes on when the door is open and the thermostat is off... however when in the propped open position, the light goes off after about 10 seconds or so. Can you prop it open for travel? If so, will it go off then?
