We had been having no problems with our water heater but all of a sudden we only get luke warm water from it. I have it set to 122 degrees and when I turn on hot water it jumps up to around 100 and then immediately goes down to 80 and stays there. Has anyone experienced something like this? It’s obviously getting power and propane because it is heating to 80, just not any higher no matter what the setting is set to on the controller.

Here is an update. It only does this while using the water pump from the fresh holding tank. When I’m hooked up to city water the water heater works just fine. So it appears the water pump is not allowing enough pressure to the water heater. Does this mean I need a stronger pump? This is on a 2024 Influence.

You probably have a water flow issue. Check for kinked water lines from the pump, make sure connections are tight. Make sure any screen filter(s) are clear.

Also check the electrical connections to the pump (one might be loose). Thinking the ground here.

There are a couple of possibilities to consider. Like @el Rojo indicated, check the screen at the pump intake to make sure it isn’t clogged. You would be surprised how much stuff gets left in those fresh water tanks after install. Also be sure that you are not mixing hot and cold water anywhere - the biggest culprit is an outdoor shower where the hot and cold valves are left open. Be sure that the valve on the water heater is set to max flow.

The recommended way to use that water heater is with hot water only. Set the temp to somewhere around 100 degrees and only turn on the hot water.
