I have searched but have been unable to find where the fuses for the propane detector or the closet 12v lights are. I am going to tap into the 12V line to add a motion light under the kitchen island, but I would like to know how it is fused. Does anyone know where the fuse is for these? I have checked the main panel and looked in the 7way box as well.

I hope someone knows where they are.

I'd suggest pulling out one fuse at a time until there is no power at the point you want to tap into.

That's what I had to do to find power to the propane detector.

Another option is to disconnect the battery for the few mins it takes to hook into the wires. It is likely hard wired to the supply.

Thanks very much for the reply, but I have not found any fuses for small accessories like closet lights etc. The next post mentions it could be had wired to the battery, I think this might be true.

I believe you might be right with this, I have found no fuses for any closet lights etc as well as the LP detector. I am hoping to splice into that LP wire and add a 12V motion light under the sink cupboard. The detector is wired in the same cupboard. The small motion 12V LED light is very low amps. Do you see any issue with doing this? Otherwise I might have to add a battery motion light and not do the wiring. I appreciate any input you have on this. Kind regards

I'd be quite surprised that there is no fuse for lights. I might see that for the detector tho. GD is pretty screwed with their wiring. There might be an inline fuse some place other than the fuse panel.

Thanks, I will remove the wood panel covering the wiring and have a look, cheers
