Has anyone experienced lower gas pressure on the external gas port when using grill than when using a 20lb bottle?

A Google search of “removing regulator or adding a RV quick connect” for your grill/griddle would show the parts and sources for those parts.

Of course, once you remove the grill’s onboard regulator it will be easy to connect to the trailer’s quick-connect port.

OTOH, I still want to use my appliance for other non-Rv purposes (tail gating, home use, etc). If this is a consideration for you it may be prudent to consider leaving the grill alone and investing in hoses that you can connect to your Rv propane bottle and your home 20# propane bottle.

I opted for these hoses (one at the RV one at the house) so I can connect to 1# bottles when away from home or the RV OR connect to my home tank or Rv tank when in those locations.

these are available in many lengths DozyAnt 4 Feet Propane Adapter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y5XFF6F?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Also, in the case of some blackstones (where regulator is detachable like the 17”) you can buy this direct hose from the blackstone to quick connect. Amazon.com

Thanks for the responses. I have the hose for a 20 lb bottle, which I usually use. My problem is the wife wants to use the fire pit...there goes my 20 lb bottle, LOL. So I thought I would connect the weber grill to the RV house bottles since it wouldn't use much propane. Currently I'm using the 1 lb bottles for the grill. We also have a Green Mountain smoker for the longer grill times, such as chicken, etc. I'm trying not to carry two 20 lb bottles around for safety, but then I carry two extra 1 lb bottles. What a conundrum.

We came to the same point of not wanting to carry a 2nd 20# bottle. For me space is a problem and I really don't like slinging that heavy bottle in and out of the truck.

One of my camping buds got a 5# bottle for his grill/griddle. It is the perfect compromise and now everyone in our camping circle has one.

I refill ours once or twice/yr and its size and weight make it very easy to manage. I pay less than $4 to refill it at tractor supply--that is some serious economy considering the price of the 1# bottles.

Yepper, those 5 lb. bottles work well for us too. And they're so cute! :)

The refillable 1# bottles are an option that has worked well for us.
Refill right from the 20# tank.
