An RVer reported that the TPO membrane had come loose across the front eight feet of the roof while remaining attached at the edges, and asked whether an extended warranty would cover it. After another motorist alerted them during a three-month trip, they secured the membrane with strips and contacted Grand Design, then reported that the factory warranty had expired and their extended warranty excluded the roof.

Two other members described roof bubbling that Grand Design repaired...

Just wandering if any of you've experienced roof problems, my TPO has come loose in front 8' of my rig still connected at the edge but recently been traveling for 3 months and have extended warranty but not sure if covered?

Have your VIN ready and contact GD. But, have you maintained the roof seals ? If not that possibly gives GD or the extended warranty people an out to cover it.

Had the same happen to my 2024 3505GK to the point where there were large bubbles all over the roof and the membrane ripped at the front AC junction area. I'm assuming I may have looked like the stay puff marshmallow man while traveling down the road. Mine was still under factory warranty, and GD replaced my entire roof (RV about 3 months old). I'm assuming poor glue used, maybe not enough glue, or improperly glued down membrane was the cause. I hope yours isn't as advanced as mine was, but I would definitely keep an eye on it because the more you travel, the more that membrane will lift up while air flows over the top. Send some pic's if you wish and I'll let you know if it looks similar to mine.

Hi,guess must be our model because we have same year same model, I was alerted about the problem when we were on a three month trip by another motorist. So to keep it from getting worse went to home depot and batten it down with strips. Have contacted GD but obviously the said out of warranty and my extended warranty doesn't cover roof.

I had a bubble in my roof on a 2022 model reflection 150 and Grand design replaced the whole roof and sheeting

yes, it was under warranty, in fact, it was back at the factory because of a cracked sidewall and when was there I mentioned to them about the roof they took a look at it and fixed it. They actually treated me very well on the warranty I live in California, they paid for somebody to pull the fifth wheel back to Indiana. They did the repairs and paid to have it delivered back to my home.
But as somebody else commented, there are a lot of things that I just fix myself, there are always things coming loose or going out of adjustment

It's horrible that we have to deal with problems like this because of poor workmanship. If you plan to replace the roof and keep the RV, I'd look into having a Flex Armor replacement. Sorry you had to find out after the warranty expired. This is something that GD should fix. It is clearly an issue they should stand by.

I'm not a certified tech by any means, but if you want to experiment, maybe get some correct glue and a large injector and pump in some glue and then patch the small hole with Eterna bond tape. That was something I was considering in the interim while deciding my way forward. Amazon has all the supplies. The bigger issue apart from the roof lifting is that you have a leak, that needs to be addressed first in my opinion. Just a thought. Good luck.
