I love my GD XLS23LDE with the covered underbelly.
But how does one maintain and inspect with that covered?
Peel it off once a year for inspection?
Any other tricks of the trade?

Not a bad idea to atleast do a every 2 or 3 year inspection. Taking off the coroplast is a slight PITA, but worth seeing what maybe going on above it. Could even cut a 2'x2' "hatch" that could be wide enough to peer above the coroplast with a flashlight just to see that no issues exist. Mine came with one that included a zipper openning..... probably because the dealer had to make a delivery repair to the kitchen grey tank connection prior to selling it.

Is there a possibility of posting a pic of the zipper opening? Really curious how they did it and still left it water tight.

This is same zipper patch that was used on my coroplast by my dealer. Its been on my trailer since 2018 and has worked great!

Need to cut a hole in the coroplast (underbelly)? GD recommends sealing it (and leaving future access) using a zipper pouch using GD part #110011, available through a GDRV dealer.

We also recommend using eternabond tape; it works very well on the underbelly."

I don't think this zipper patch is compatible with the newer style coroplast - that's what I've been told by GD for my 2022, it won't stick - not sure how far back that might go but they changed the coroplast material. My rig is at the factory getting a new underbelly due to a sagging and soaking wet insulation - which GD factory could not find any leaks for. The suspicion is that the seal around the underbelly when built was letting water spray from the pavement in. Either way, I did ask about the zipper patch and was told that for the 'furry' style underbelly, use expanding foam. Apparently Eternabond isn't effective on this material either.

True on new units.... however it should work on Ionrend 2019 29RS.

Im going to get a boar scope soon. It should work for checking the underbelly without dropping it. Might need to make a coupe small holes though. Then reseal.

I need to have a couple spots welded on the frame and need to see what is behind the areas.
