Attached is Goodyear Marathon which was never on the ground, used only as spare for a boat trailer. As for the date stamp, it was certainly way past 4-5 years old. After several years of just sitting in the indoor shop I’ll get to it someday pile, it self-destructed at some point. This commentary is not intended for Goodyear bashing it is what I found a wanted to share.
Point being; if it looks good that doesn’t make it good, change out those price point tires in 3-4 years sooner if stored outside.

Marathon tires haven't really been a viable trailer option for years.

The newer Endurance is much better.
