I used geocel pro flex to seal a couple of spots last week. It’s still tacky a week later. Is this normal?

No, unless you used mineral spirits on your finger to tool the joint.

FYI, after many years(and tubes) of using proflex clear, I have moved on to OSI Quad from Home Depot. it has much better adhesion and is easy to remove if you have to recaulk.

I didn’t use mineral spirits to tool it but I did clean the area with it prior to application so maybe that’s it.

I assume you are using this product around windows, doors, etc ?? I'm interested in trying it. I've used Geocel in the past to touch up around windows and find it really difficult to work with, and it's a bear to get off if you ever want to remove it.

i do the same. Mineral spirits helps get the gunk off. Lastly wipe with denatured alcohol to remove any final impurities.

That certainly does not explain the continued tackiness after a weeks time.

I use it everywhere inside and outside
