Anyone traveling through metro Atlanta and see a camper disabled on shoulder please call 511 with highway, direction of travel and mile marker. You may save someone's life. We were going through today and saw 5th wheel with shredded drivers side tire which is most dangerous to change on an interstate. We called "511" and they sent out HERO unit with very large flashing lights to warn people to move over and help with tire change.

Had blown tire back in December 2020 on Interstate 85 and someone called for us; you never know how glad I was to see HERO unit show up with their huge flashing lights.
Other large cities may offer same service. You will be doing your fellow camper a great service to call for them as someone did for us.

Highway Emergency Response Operators (HERO)

Highway Emergency Response Operators (HEROs) are dispatched to traffic-related incidents in metro Atlanta with the primary duty to clear roads so that normal traffic flow is restored. HEROs also assist stranded motorists with flat tires, dead batteries or in need of fuel or coolant.

We have the same here in Nevada. Trucks are sponsored by local car dealers.

Correction, it is now sponsored by State Farm.
