GPS choice

Does anyone know how much annually?

Pretty sure I paid $80. My '22 doesn't have that trailer nav feature even tho the owner's manual says it does. Maybe the '23's have it.

regardless - I use a Garmin RV 890 so I could care less about the truck having that kind of navigation feature.

I do like being able to use the truck nav for finding POI's, addresses, etc. when not towing so, for me, I would rather pay the yearly fee to have the active nav rather than a somewhat dumb screen. It also shows me traffic flow (kind of like Google does with red/yellow roads when they are stopped/slow).

Another thing about the Garmin RV GPSs.... you can pull up POIs like rest areas, truck stops & such that are on your route; it alerts you to speed limit changes, steep grades and a host of other things including selectable info such as time & mileage to destination, time you will arrive at your destination. There is even an elevation profile for selected routes as well as an altitude display while traveling.

The new 890 is now the 895. Not sure what changed. I looked - maybe just some extra map features. I guess it was 8" product refresh time. I should check on what the 1090 has compared to the 890.

I know when I got my 890 it was on sale as the 1090 was coming out. So now maybe the 890 is on sale again as the 895 is coming out.

ahhhh..... the joys of chasing technology advances.......

890, 895 and 1090 are all on sale at Amazon.
890=$395
895=$689 or bundled with power pac for $709
1090=$568 or bundled with power pac for $709

Differences between products- 895 has weather along the planned route, 1090 has traffic and weather along planned route. 895 and 1090 must be paired with Garmin Drive app on your smartphone.

What are we being cautious about? Is it not 13'7"? Are some marked wrong?

Have taken that route multiple times. This was the first time we saw any 13'7" overpass sign on that 4 lane divided hwy so I'm not exactly sure what has changed but it surprised us. If it is accurate, 1" isn't a whole lot of wiggle room. Anything under 14' gets my attention and I don't recall that being there before.
