We just got in at Ocean lakes for first real trip in 355. We have only camped in RV one time for a total use of less than 20 hours. Main 15K would not cool when we got here even though it had worked well on our one local weekend camping trip. I am not looking for money or any warenty help. I just want to replace AC quickly reguarless of cost.
If I have to replace it I would like to buy a low profile model. I would also like it to work with exsisting 3 zone control that i have. Any help and info would be great. I have 4 teenageers in rear compartment and no time to mess with warenty and pass the buck type things.
I am looking for stocking dealers that have corect low profile unit that works with exsisting system. Part numbers and model numbers would be a great help.
If nesseary I will buy anything to save vacation and replace again after trip.
I would guess low on freon as I got up top and pulled cover. High side was very hot and low side lukewarm.

Was the fan running and is condenser clear of dirt? You could possibly spin fan with hand to get it going if it is not. I have had one that we always had to spin after trailer sat up for a while.

Hi Scott,

Sorry to hear about this.
I would go to the locals for who they trust for HVAC repair work in the area.
Sometimes it's the guy working out of his trunk who has the gauges, the sniffer, the vacuum pump and the refrigerant.
Like you note . . . this is most likely a refrigerant leak.
Hope you get this solved.

Suggest call a mobile RV tech for troubleshoot. It may be a simple fix or at least you will know what is wrong. If still under warranty I'm sure GD will reimburse for the problem even if the A/C needs replacing. I used a mobile tech to fix a water heater problem, cost me $75.00 bucks but I was back in business quickly. Turned out to be a spider nest in the burner oriface so I did not file a warranty claim. Tech showed me how to clear it myself if it happened again so I learned something too. Hope you get a quick resolution, gotta have A/C!

I knew I was on my on own on this one. Made a few quick calls about low profile 15K no luck. I did find exact replacement at local repair shop and could install today. I agreed with price $ 976 installed . I have old AC in back of my truck and will deliver to local GD dealer to inspect at their convenience when i get home. It will be interesting to see what GD says. About 35 New Toy Haulers in park most are Fuzion or Cyclone . Already spoke to the 2, 355 TH Momentum owners here.

Well you got the immediate problem fixed but.... I would of started with one of the serveral mobile RV tech's that prowl your campground and had them do a diagnosis. $1000 bucks is a good chunk of change to me.

I know too late, but there are portable units that roll around and at a cost of about 350 to 400 if anyone else has an emergency. You can resell or use at home later.

Park limits access to just a few approved vendors.
