An RVer with a 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2150RB reported water collecting on the front cargo bay floor opposite the water connection, while the connection area, walls, and ceiling remained dry, and asked whether the cargo door could be leaking. Several members suggested a controlled hose test, watching from inside or using a camera to locate the entry point.

Members described possible door-related causes, including gaps in the gasket or frame, leaking bottom frame screws, and a bowed...

I have a 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2150RB. Recently I have started to get water intrusion in the front cargo bay. It collects on the floor on the side opposite the water connection. The area around water connection is dry. The top of the cargo area and sides are also dry. Could this becoming in the cargo bay door?

Yuk! Wate leaks!!! It could be from anywhere. A leaking pipe, hose, water panel that has dried up near the leak but left puddles all over; slide seals not sealing and allowing water to come down the inside wall, wet bay leak from hose connection, cargo door seals.

The hardest part is finding the exact leak area. So crawl inside, close the doors and have someone start spaying the are from the bottom up. (and hope they let you out when the test is done   :D).

I just helped a friend replace 2/3 of his 5th wheel cargo area because his water filter leaked for days before he figured it out. Not a fun job and we still have to put down a new floor covering over the plywood we replaced.

The cargo doors do have a tendency to leak. Often water gets in where the rubber gasket has a slit, or the slit in the door frame. Some caulk can resolve that issue. You could stick a camera inside and spray with a hose to see if you can tell where it's coming in. I recently found that my Blink camera works great for this. I can place it where needed and then watch on my phone. :)

I just replaced the check valve in the wall behind the shower. I couldn’t figure out where the water was coming from. I hooked to city water no leaks. I hooked to black tank and found it. It’s the black line that goes to a check valves n then to black tank. I bypassed this and put a vacuum breaker at the inlet.

I would recommend you check the screws on the bottom of the door frame. In my last GD I had water going in through those screws. You will need to take them out, put silicone in the screw hole and then put them back in. Then put a dab of silicone over the screw head.

The door could be bowed and not allowing a good seal. I had to fix ours when we first got it, same scenario. I bent them flat. Easy to do just take your time.

Put your knee in the middle, both hands on the sides and push, check, repeat as needed.
