Grand Design's new Lineage motorized RV

Great thanks for the updates! Based on that I was able to find a follow-up video from Matt's RV at the Hershey show. He only did a quick walk through in a Lineage at the end of this video:

The theater seating is included on one and you get to see a paint color scheme vs straight decals.
 
Anybody know how well the Lineage plumbing is laid out in terms of freeze protection? (Fully understanding that the '4 seasons' reference often slapped on RVs is always a bit of a stretch!) Is the belly closed and given any heat source? Thanks!
 
All of the water lines are above the floor, hidden behind cabinets, panels etc. The drain lines do go underneath to the holding tanks. The tanks are exposed, there is no coroplast as this is a vehicle. There are tank heaters.

So, I got to walk through the Lineage last week at the Hershey RV Show.

Previously looking the bathroom floorplan, that just did not seem practical. But looking at in person, it seems to work.

The mattress folds up to fit with the slide in. The mattress "moves" on top of the platform with the slide in....the platform stays stationary. The bed would not be usable with the slide in for a quick rest area nap.

The deep pantry has sliding shelves.....wish my Imagine had that, and probably will in the future.

Overall, I liked the camper. It has a nice "feel" to it, but again I did not get to see it with the slide in to see how it feels in the drive mode.
 
You can test drive one, sort of. Our salesman arranged for us to drive a MB 4500 Sprinter Thor model. 25'8", same as the Lineage. It was very easy to drive, DW compared it to driving a mini van. I wouldn't go that far, but it handled very easily. Now that we own ours, and have about 700 miles on it, city and highway, that perception has not changed. Even when towing my Maverick the ride is smooth, effortless.
 
It's been several months now - any new word on when real production units will possibly start showing up?
A factory manager I talked to earlier this week said that 29 or 30 have been delivered to date. The factory had serial #'s in the 110s on the line. They started out back in August completing 1/day. They just now are up to 3/day.
 
We were able to test drive a Lineage last week in Mt. Vernon WA (RV Country). The twin turbo gave it good low speed pickup as well as decent on ramp acceleration while merging with traffic moving 70mph on I-5. Interior sound levels were comfortable too. My wife rode in one of the loungers with seatbelts and said it was very comfortable also.

For us the top selling points are:
-Full length slide yielding large floor space, king size bed, and dining or lounger area
-600W solar AND generator AND 260AH lithium AND auto leveling jacks included in base unit
-Updated interior colors and styling
-Very comfortable reclining loungers
-Freeze protection considered in the design (I.e. '4 seasons')

In comparison, we then looked at several Leisure Travel Van models at the Portland RV show and found only one of the above selling points applied (updated interior colors and styling). And most of their models only come with 25 gallons fresh water and the OCCC was only 885 lbs. on one of those units whereas the Lineage unit we drove was 942 lbs.
