Gray tank handle not coming out all the way?

Hi everyone. We had a very successful shakedown on the Solitude, but I have one question. Two of the three gate valves operate very smoothly...the black and a gray.

The other gate valve also operates smoothly also, but the handle only pulls out about half as far. The tank is draining, so I can't tell if this is a smaller gate valve with less pull, or if it is binding somewhere.

Can anyone solve my little dilemma?

Mine is the same and drains well so figured that is how it was installed.

The galley gray tank valve is smaller , 1&1/2 best I recall. The other two are 3”. They area sliding gates , so less travel on the smaller valve.

As others said, it's normal because the galley tank has a smaller valve. Do keep those cables lubricated.

Ours is the same (smaller 1-1/2"?) drain on the kitchen grey tank).

And a big second to keep the valve cables lubed as [MENTION=12422]cfowler55[/MENTION] said.

As others said, it's normal because the galley tank has a smaller valve. Do keep those cables lubricated.

I have a 2019 385GK-R and have had to replace all three pulls at least once. Black tank twice. They seem to get corroded from the water connections directly above the handles, and hence, hard to pull. Campers Inn Byron, GA just recently advised not to lubricate too often, but when you do, use the tall can of slide out lube about every third time of emptying. Also, I attached a short piece of hose (24") to each water connection above, so that when I connect water input to both any water that drains out when disconnecting doesn't leak down over the handles. we'll see down the road how long they last.

Thanks. It seems that you can only lube the handle of the cable, not inside the cable. Is there a way to lube the entire cable?

This has been discussed a number of times on the forum and the answer is, unfortunately, no. If your research comes up with a way, please get back to us and let us know!

How do I keep the cables lubricated? I only see a way to lubricate the rod attached to the handle but no way to lube the actual cable. Thanks
