Took the 27RL out this past weekend for a quick trip to lake Somerville. Had a great time and had no trailer issues at all. Love the trailer love the truck it all felt solid and pulled great.

2014 Silverado 1500
5.3 L with a 3.42 rear end
KN cold air intake
Load lifter 5000 with wireless air one
Bully Dog GT tuner
and E rated tires.

11.5 mpg with a gasser isn't to bad at 65 mph.

Hi ptcontatore,

Is the 11.5 mpg from your Bully Dog data or an actual odometer mileage / gas receipt ?
That is amazing fuel consumption at 65 mph.

I ran my diesel F250 from Gatlinburg to Helen, GA pulling my 323BHS, and it got 11 mpg approximately. It was 1/2 downhill and 1/2 uphill.

Then I pulled my old 5500 lb. 31' travel trailer 385 miles home--1/2 through the hills and 1/2 interstate. Got 13.8 mpg which I thought was great.

Rob,

The mpg was on the vehicle trip computer and verified at the pump. Needless to say I am very pleased.

Hi PC,

We had an 11+ run from Toronto to Nashville, but always stayed under 60 mph. Must have had a good tail wind, because I have not been able to get that again . . . I am questioning my calculations. Many towing miles since then . . . always between 55 and 60 and always 10 mpg +/- . I am towing a slightly heavier trailer and have a 3.73 axle, but the difference shouldn't be that much.

Looking at the signature of the OP, he has a tuner and most likely not 4x4. If you had a similar vehicle, maybe your numbers would be closer to his. 4x4 takes away fuel mileage no matter if engaged or not.

Not sure where u get that he has a tuner. I have same truck (2103 though but specs are same) except for max payload ... oh and mine's a Platinum (me spoiled) and no tuner involved. You must be thinking GM or Dodge ... go wash yer mouth. Ecoboost ... the NEW F250 !!!
