Grey stone fireplace anyone know if you can shut off the flames? Mine has settings 1-9 thanks/

Don't believe so...just adjust the intensity of the backlight as you said 1 - 9.

You could remove the bulbs, effectively shutting it off forever.
(Until you replace the bulbs.)

Ours does have a flame off setting when using the "F" button on the fireplace and maybe the remote too as I recall. We have model F2611E.
