grrrrr....... Premium TV Apps/Services!!!!!

When dish cut my local sports teams off and Xfinity streaming won't let me watch live while traveling I looked for an alternative. If you don't mind living in the gray a little bit, check out "Superbox" or as it is now called "Wonderbox." I was skeptical, but it just plain works. You do need internet access, but other than that there are no subscriptions. I have had it for about six month and have no issues.

If you're savvy with technology:

ShieldTV w/Plex is an unbeatable combination in an RV.

For the content (at home, I just copy the files over to a 4TB HDD before we take off):

UnRAID
Sonaar
Newsbin
uTorrent
Jackett

It's not "easy", but once you get everything set up, it's autopilot; any network, any show, it'll go out, find the content, download it, and leave it nicely organized for you in directories that you can just pick up and copy to your ShieldTV. In the RV, I have the Shield driving my main TV and the other two have a Roku on them to allow me to stream the content to them as well.

Net result, never watch a commercial again (they are all pulled out of the files that are distributed), never pay a streaming fee again (every network is available), have complete portability of your content (no need to have any Internet at all when you get to a campsite because you have all the content with you). And you can get older shows too, my wife and I are watching NYPD Blue right now from the first season; most older shows are available if they were even moderately popular.
